After inactivity of around 1 minute in windows 8 the computer locks itself... I have to reenter my password. I have tried everything, power options, personalization, and it's still not taking it off. All of the features that relate to turning off the auto lock are off too. Help please!!

Found a fix, under User Accounts, clicking reset security policies seems to have fixed the issue. Also, it fixed the issue of not being able to change the screensaver timeout. I haven't been able to track down the specific policy caused the problem in the first place, but this works for now.
I can't remove lock either

From PC settings -O
Click on Accounts -O
scroll down to sign in Options
click on sign in options
look down to the right side options
and change password policy to no password required
if your in a public place then you need the PW
"Reset Security Policies" Is a triggered response and only shows in that menu if a policy has been changed from default settings. The average home user will never have a reason to change this so the option is usually not there.
Generally the biggest item that causes this are people connecting their work email to their home computer. The security policies for devices effect any device that connects using activesync to include the mail program on your computer. As an exchange admin I see this all the time, when setting up the mail account a popup alerts of the policy changes being enforced by the activesync policy, and I don't think anyone ever reads it.
