how do I turn off the autolock in windows 8?

After inactivity of around 1 minute in windows 8 the computer locks itself... I have to reenter my password. I have tried everything, power options, personalization, and it's still not taking it off. All of the features that relate to turning off the auto lock are off too. Help please!!

Found a fix, under User Accounts, clicking reset security policies seems to have fixed the issue. Also, it fixed the issue of not being able to change the screensaver timeout. I haven't been able to track down the specific policy caused the problem in the first place, but this works for now.

    This is an old post/reply that I am pasting here.

    I have Microsoft Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, I have noticed several posts lately that mention the option to "Reset Security Policies" via User Accounts in the Control Panel.  I don't seem to have this option listed when I look in User Accounts, I am wondering why some have it and some don't?

    This link shows the "Reset Security Policies" item that I am missing.

    Thanks, I was able to resolve my problem by increasing the time before the screensaver turned on.

    Are you able to logon to your user account when you first boot up or do you do an automatic login?  If you have an automatic login can you do the suggestion from this article?
