I installed Windows Live Mail on 6 December 2011 and added a Google Mail account to it.  It was working fine until about a week ago when every time I went to check my mail it would give me the following message:

Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks.

1 of 2 tasks have completed successfully

I clicked on the Error tab in that window and there was nothing listed there.  I closed out of the windows and clicked on the button to check my mail again and no error message.  The next time I want to check my mail I get that error message and I close out of that window and check it again and it works with no issue.  It has been like this for about a week and it becoming annoying.

What is the issue and how do I fix it or are Google Mail accounts not compatible with this application.  I used the IMAP settings.

    Why would I need instructions to create a Windows Live ID account when I obviously have one.  How else would I be logging into this site.  Coomon sense would have told you that.

    Hi SouthernDixieCowgirl,

    I'm sorry but we really need the log files for further investigation of your issue. Upon checking your account, I've found out that you're using an email address other than Hotmail. I'd like to inform you that you'll need to be signed in to Windows Live Solution Center in order to see any type of private messaging. I recommend that you create a dummy account with Hotmail for you to be able to sign in to Windows Live Solution Center, and then upload the log files.

    That is what it is doing.  It sends and receives and then I get the error message and when I click on the error tab there is nothing listed.

    Yes, that's what I meant. There is usually one account (Microsoft Communities) set up by default on installation, even if you never use it (it doesn't work anyway). However, if it's not there, your problem must be a different one.

    Early on in this protracted thread, you mentioned 1 of 2 tasks. Since you only have one mail account (Gmail), were these two tasks Sending and Receiving for the Gmail account?
