Nokia Belle Refresh update just launched

Hi all,

great news! We just started to roll out our next update for Symbian called Nokia Belle Refresh for Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7, Nokia C6-01, Nokia X7 and Nokia Oro with version number 111.040.1511 (Nokia E6, version number 111.140.0058, will follow still this week, Nokia 500 updates will follow shortly).

This update again brings new features to Symbian smartphones, for example:

-          a new browser with HTML5 web apps support, a new set of homescreen widgets, and the previously released Microsoft Office Mobile App and Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 in one package.

-          Nokia N8 will have some extra apps for imaging

The update will be rolled out in phases, starting with the vanilla versions (ie. basic software variants without any specific operator or country configuration). Country and operator variants will follow within the next weeks, depending on local and operator approvals.

pS: Just like after updating from Nokia Anna to Nokia Belle, some apps may not work due to compatibility issues. If you need more information on available apps, please contact your local Nokia Care support. Furthermore, you can also contact the respective App developer to enquire about the compatibility.

    Is it mandatory to install MS Apps? I prefer not installing, since I had in the past a very bad experience with MS Apps shortly after II updated my C6-01 to Belle. In fact, I had to hard reset my phone to get rid of the bad side effects of MS Apps.

    That's really good, good.. but Nokia E6 owners are forgotten? I'm not talking about this release called "Refresh" but about the original Nokia Belle release... available since months for majority of users?

    In my case: 059K489 (product code) i don’t even have the original release of Nokia Belle! (which was released months ago…)

    I’m very frustrated with this, the problem is known (go see in this and others Nokia forums, i’m not the only user affected, very not!), but Nokia seems to don’t care about that.

    PS: my Nokia E6 is a Bouygues Telecom version (but I have deblocked it recently and nothing changed), and the update was written “available” since several months for Bouygues Telecom (only SFR was pending, because of their announcement : “Belle will not be released for SFR phones”)…

    I was constantly seeing the updates availability in that link : http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/belle/nokia-belle-software-update/ , but now, since one/two months, there is no information about Nokia Belle availability anymore, as if everybody was on Nokia Belle. I update my Nokia Suite each time a MAJ is available, but even with Nokia Suite 3.4 or 3.5, nothing changed, i don't have the possibility to update my phone to Nokia Belle, i'm blocked on Anna..

    I hope someone is going to care that problem…

    I have Nokia N8.If i update the software from belle to belle refresh,through my phone itself(by OTA) affect or harm my N8 anyway??

    i updated my c7. But i've smthn irritating.

    Physical keys whn pressed, make beep sounds, and there's no option to turn that sound off. Even in SILENT profile.

    Please hlp
