Windows 8 Touch Screen not working on my Gateway ZX6971

I have a Gateway ZX6971 all in one touch screen. I recently downloaded the windows 8 release preview  and i cant find anyway to get my touch screen capabilities working again. Is there a way to fix this problem? I tried reintalling the Card Reader Driver and try to open some touch programs in capability mode. Is there anything I can do to do my touch screen back? It worked fine in Windows 7. Any help or advice would be great! Thank you!

Hi ssackfield88,

This issue may be a display driver issue. I checked Gateway's website for available drivers for the ZX6971 and there are no Windows 8 drivers. Use the contact us link here to see when or if drivers will be available to support Windows 8 on your computer.

    had the same problem I updated my wireless and card drivers no luck with the touch screen before I updated it said the touchscreen would work just not as well as it would if it was built for windows 8 but I can't get it to work at all!!

    Thanks I just did that and install the Qualcomm and now my card reader working.  Thanks for the help.  Now wish the touch screen would work.

    I was able to load new wireless network drivers from Qualcomm and when I did, the card reader started working.  I still do not have the touch screen working, and there are no official Windows 8 drivers that I could find on the gateway web site, but I did see an article from Best Buy that they are getting ready to carry the 6980 with Windows 8 so I have to believe the drivers are close....
