Here are some utilities, all of which will display your product keys:

Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

(It does a good job of providing a wealth of information.)

and: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html

Note: Also check the side of your PC case or bottom of the laptop for the

OEM key code. If there is a sticker with the code it will most likely not

match what is displayed by the utilities mentioned above as OEMs such as

Dell use an internal key code when they build your PC.

The key code on the sticker is for use with your Windows CD

(that hopefully came with your PC)

if you ever need to reinstall Windows.

OK - it's possibly an MSDNAA license.

You can use Belarc Advisor to read the Keys for Windows and Office (and some other programs) - www.belarc.com

Hello again and thank you for your quick response but I have to admit that I am quite sure, that I have bought this license pretty legally. It was either a Student Offer like my legally purchased Office Pro Version or it was done through the MSDNAA programme of my former University, the HAfenCity University in Hamburg, Germany. As I have already gained my bachelors there, I have not access anymore to my emails to "konstantin.seufert@hcu-hamburg. I am also sorry about the fact, that I have deleted my generated pdf with the whole key on it. And now I am pretty stuck with my new pc and my Windows Copy waiting for activation! The question which I rise now is, if there is another possibility to get my key back as I originally paid for that. I am currently a student and every penny counts! Thank you very much.

Your current Product Key is for a Volme License - you did NOT purchase it legally by email or from MS - because it's a license that is not for sale to the general public.It is for sale only to organisations for use only on their own machines.

If you did indeed purchase this online, then you were sold a counterfeit, and should attempt to claim a refund from the vendor.

The ONLY vendors authorised to sell Keys without accompanying software are MS and Digital River.

Dear, Microsoft Team,

I have the same problem as the one before. I just can't find my product key anymore. It was delivered within a mail as I purchased Windows 7 Pro online but now, it seems that it has disappeared.

I only have this information from the MGADiag tool. It says that:

Please help me to find my Key. I tried to find the key with its last 5 digits but without success. I am quite desperate.

This is a known problem with some keys - it's not known what it signifies, but there's a possibility that the key is still present and genuine.

Please do me a favour - run the MGADiag tool on the system and post the report - it'll at least give you the last three groups of characters anyhow (I have no idea how or if you'll be ale to get the first two, if ALL the utilities JWS pointed you at are unable to show them)

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop -http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )

Once saved, run the tool.

Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.

To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
