Windows Update fails to install updates KB2539636, KB2533523, and KB2468871.

my windows update has installed updates today august 10 2011. but these three dotnet updates (KB2539636  KB2533523  KB2468871) failed to install... can anyone help me please?? thank you...

btw i am using windows 7 home premium

...x64 - is for 64bit WIndows 7

...x86 - is for 32bit WIndows 7

How to find out if Windows 7 is 32bit or 64bit is here:

Maybe what you can try (before you try points 1..11) only turn Off your antivirus and turn Off UAC, then manually install the updates  that failed to installand  run Windows update to install rest of updates. Turn On your antivirus and turn On UAC. How turn Off UAC see point 5).

If these steps above not help, try to use these ones:

1) uninstall Net Framework 4.0 client from „Uninstall and change program“:

2) If you still see Net Framework 4.0 client in „Uninstall and change program“ use this tool for unistallation Net Framework 4.0 client:

    download, unpack and run „cleanup_tool.exe“ – from pull-down menu choose „.NET Framework 4“ and click „Cleanup Now“

  1. After uninstallation restart computer
  2. Turn Off (Disable) your antivirus
  3. Turn Off UAC (User Account Control) – howto do it:

6) Download and install Net Framework 4.0 from here (choose right language):

      (same for 32bit OS and 64bit OS)

7) restart computer

8) try to install manually all updates (KB??????) that failed to install

9) run Windows update and install rest of updates

10) T****urn On UAC (User Account Control) – howto do it:

11) Turn On (Enable) your antivirus

    I, too, am having the same issue with these three updates.  I am running Vista Home Basic SP2 32-bit.  Very frustrated with errors.  I think Microsoft needs to look at this issue.

    i got errors when i try to updates those 3  updates 

    i tried using manual downloads it will show me a window saying

    "KB2468871v2 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer."

    "KB2533523 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer."

    "KB2539636 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer."

    wad should i do?

    same problem on xp comp. fix was remove net framework and reinstall , took several hrs updating to get back to version 4.  did all by calling 866 pc safety for free update support,

    go through prompts for update trouble and hope get good tech person. first one took 2 for no result

    2nd one used dotnetfx clean tool and removed framework and started fresh.

    3 hrs but let them easy assist and work on comp remotely.

    I also would do disc cleanup first to remove temp files,cookies,  run av program, then call them.
