When forwarding emails, pictures are stripped from text & put in slide show destroying original

I have Windows 7 & IE8. When I receive a perfectly good email with pictures or gif's embedded in the text and TRY TO FORWARD IT, the forwarded email has all the pictures stripped out & put in a slide show. The text is full of the dreaded red x's & the whole thing is unreadable.

How can I stop this? Turn off the slide show feature?

    The recent reply astonishes me as the question has already been answered in the thread. I can't count the amount of folks that I've talked to are totally discusted with "Windows Live Mail" and have gone to alternatives. Microsofts creditability is sinking fast from what I've observed. Even our cable provider aknowledges that they've had numerous folks switch to their WEB mail.

    I can't believe this thread has been going on for 7 months and this is the question we're hearing now.. Sounds like "can we blame it on something else?". I am sure at least one of these Windows 7 gurus have duplicated the problem themselves, if they are looking for a fix, and can test their own browser email in seconds. These reponses sound like feeble attempts to make people believe they might be working on a fix..  As stated before, If you can't fix the software roll it back to the version that worked before you screwed it up !!! Everyone I know on win 7 wlm has this issue ..

    So............. I'm getting the impression that Microsoft has NO intention of fixing this problem. Not now, not ever.

    A HUGE problem affecting ALL email users!

    It looks like there are only 2 remedies....

    1. go & buy an Apple.
    2. go viral & rant on this on every web site you can find.

    #2 isn't a very mature way to solve problems and I don't recommend it yet ......... but it's the only solution users have these days to FIX things when you're being totally ignored!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I (we) have tried our best and ................... nothing.

    C'mon Bill, do I have to phone you at home?
