I'm having the same issue and that is also the only way I know to resolve it. It's quite annoying as otherwise I would love this mouse. Please fix ASAP.
Arc Touch Mouse Scroll stops working
Hi,
I'm using Win 7 (32 bit) with the MS arc Touch mouse software and drivers installed. Running on HP TX2 Touchsmart Tablet.
I'm facing a problem with my mouse with regards to the scroll function.
After "switching on" the mouse, there is a green led light and everything seems to work. The green LED then disappears, presumably to save battery.
However, after a short period of time, the scroll function will not work at all. There is no scroll "feedback" felt from the scroll strip either. But when I flatten the mouse and turn it back on again, everything works as per normal.
But after some time, the same problem resurfaces. Then, I have to turn the mouse off and back on again. Sometimes, the scroll function "turns" itself back on automatically. But most of the time, it just stops working altogether.
This is very irritating. It seems nobody else have encountered this issue.
Please help!!

2015-12-17T16:05:44+00:00 I bought this Arc BT mouse from Amazon in November 2015. Purpose is to save an USB slot from being taken for normal wireless mouse. For first couple of weeks I had no issue. But since last week, mouse stops scrolling in the middle of usage or sitting idle for 2 to 3 min. I have reset the power settings to performance mode, meaning never to sleep. No use. Even connect button on the bottom does not help. I have to fold and unfold to get it working again.

2015-12-13T16:46:20+00:00 This mouse scroll issue has me frustrated too! I've been checking in every so often to see if there has been a fix yet, and I'm surprised there hasn't been one identified. I get the same exact scroll failure on my Arc Touch Surface Edition Mouse (model #1592, MPN #E6W-00001, lot #1449, ); intermittent failure that slows the scroll responsiveness down until it is completely unresponsive. A quick close and open fixes it, but I seem to be doing this multiple times a day when I shouldn't have to.
This is the second mouse I've had and it seems much worse with this one than my previous one, which I ended up donating to a hotel room I stayed in. As a matter of fact, I don't even remember having this issue on the first one I had. The first one I had looked exactly the same, but had a different MPN (MPN #P9X-00002); perhaps an earlier edition?
I just disabled the tap to page up/down because I seem to inadvertently keep paging up, so we'll see if that helps at all as others have suggested. Hopefully there will be a fix for it soon!
