Hey guys,
so I'm having a bit of an issue. I'm running a fresh install of win7 for over a week without any problems. Yesterday, for no apparent reason (ie. no updates, no modifications, no new software install...really NOTHING) my network access icon on the bottom right taskbar has a yellow triangle over it and says i have "no internet access" even though i clearly have internet.
I probably wouldnt be worried too much if it was just a wrong icon, but the problem is, software that check for updates and checks to see if im online keeps saying im offline and can only work in offline mode.
This is causing a serious issue.
Any1 have any clues how to fix this?
I run Kasp Antivir 2010 and thats about it. No other wierd or free software...no extra firewalls nothing. I just dont get how it can just happen from 1 day to the other.
Oh and the whole win7 "Troubleshoot" didnt detect any problems.

I found the solution recommended by @Alexander resolved my issue. In my case, it was simply changing it from 1 to 0, disconnected my wifi connection, I then changed it back to 1 and reconnected and it worked.

I had the exact same problem preventing a game from loading but I had a static IP address set up on my computer. I was able to access the internet but my network connection monitor said there was no internet access. I ended up logging into my router and found under the Local Area Network area a checkbox for allowing Static Routes. Once Static Routes were enabled the "no internet access" icon went away and the game loaded correctly.
users in my company was also facing this issue, the tip i advised to them is make sure your ethernet adapter properties does not have internet protocol version IPv6 checked, if your IT infra is still under IPv4. it seems somehow latest windows OS giving priority to IPv6 and if OS found no IP for IPv^ it will show no internet access even though laptop/desktop have IP on IPv4. it just my assumption..but it is good if it works for you..
I have this problem on a fully updated windows 7 VM, guest of vmware fusion in mac. I have the vmware tools installed, and there are no updated drivers available, nor any updated version of fusion.
I find, that if I simply disconnect & reconnect the network adapter or cable, then the problem goes away. I think some of the other people posting to this thread, saying things like reinstall drivers and reboot the computer, might be experiencing the same thing. If they only rebooted or only disconnected/reconnected or disabled/re-enabled their network adapter, they would probably fix it that way too.
Althesame, the problem keeps coming back, maybe once every day or two. It's caused by something, but I'm not sure what - perhaps sleeping, or disconnecting the NIC and reconnecting too quickly or something... not sure.
For now, I'm just going to use the occasional disconnect & reconnect network cable solution.
