absolutely this unit is solid and rigid. nothing loose or creaky. Your unit is not normal and the person who said it is normal is incompetent. It only release 1 month how do they know what is normal anyway

    Hi Ionut_moldove :)

I do not think this is normal. I have E51, and there are no creaky noises at all. Talk to the guys to exchange the phone.

    Hy guys

Two days ago I bought a nokia E51 from a local dealer and i have a problem with it. The screen isn't properly attached in the left side of the phone and even if gentle pressed it produces a weird creaky sound. I've spoken with the guys from the shop where i bought the phone from, and they said that it is normal for this particular phone to make this sort of noises. Now in order to get them to refund it or change it i need to get an official answer from Nokia that would state whether the phone has a defect or not. Can you guys give me some guidance in what to do?

is it natural for a newly bought nokia e51 to behave so oddly?

where can i ask the opinion of a nokia expert

    Hope someone can help me!

    Thanks

Well I think E51, have issues - just sold E50 and buyed a E51. After one day I'm having kind of mixed feelings, actually I'm already missing the E50 joystick etc:

Plus - small, thin, have wlan, miniusb, 2,5" jack, radio, very fast.

Minus - keyboard buttons are too strait and cheap plastic feeling, kind of Nokia 5500 "difficult and with force to press, especially menu/volume/mute buttons", Opera Mobile don't work, speaker sound is without any higher or lower tones, just the annoying middle ones, and speaking with normal voice level I can hear from speaker my own voice in very crackling mode, phone has no back light dim mode but light sensor which automatically enable back light and impossible to disable this (very disturbing if sitting in one place and slightly moving phone back light keeps constantly switching on/off), camera frame is made from plastic (E50 has made from rubber and keeps phone from sliding).
