When i type on the internet or on games, I often open new tabs or open other problems, simply by typing. Sometimes what I'm typing will get erased, filled in with something else, or just won't get typed at all. I was told this is a Windows 7 bug.

i am glad someone else has tried the touchfreeze and verified it works, because it is like everyone kept ignoring me!! I am telling you it works, and there is nothing to worry about with downloading it.. it is just a simple little application that goes into your tray.

I found something that works . I have two Dell 1746 laptops with Windows 7, my first W7 computers. Maybe it isn't a Windows problem per se, but adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad didn't help either. This did: I downloaded an application called Touch Freeze which turns off the touch pad when one is typing. When one stops typing, the touch pad instantly works again. I found it by googling Download Touch Freeze @ Code Google. I recommend it, before you throw the laptop through the window!
I had very similar problems and after doing some reading I took apart my mouse and cleaned it real good. The problems went away! Seems the mouse is very sensitive to "dust bunnys" little bits of dust and fluff that collect in it and makes the ball think it is getting moved - so it jumps your cursor around randomly. Good luck!
