Pictures.library-ms is no longer working

I keep getting this message but my pics are still there and my pic slideshow screensaver is still working.  how can I fix this?

Hi,

I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

To fix this problem, open Windows Explorer, right-click on the corresponding library (Pictures, in your case) and choose Delete. Click yes when asked for confirmation.

Note: Deleting a library does not delete the contents of the included folders. However, you may need to re-add or include your folders manually, if needed.

Then, in the navigation pane of Windows Explorer, right-click Libraries and click Restore default libraries.

This recreates the library that was deleted earlier. This option only restores the default libraries.

Please respond back and let us know the status of the issue.

    You are a genius. I admit, when I deleted the libraries I had a mini-heart attack and prayed not all was lost. It wasn't. When I right-clicked on Libraries inside the Navigation Pane, and then clicked "Restore Default Libraries" it all came back.

    And now...I'm going to save all my artwork and illustrations on an external hard drive. LOL
