Pictures.library-ms is no longer working

I keep getting this message but my pics are still there and my pic slideshow screensaver is still working.  how can I fix this?

Hi,

I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if it helps.

To fix this problem, open Windows Explorer, right-click on the corresponding library (Pictures, in your case) and choose Delete. Click yes when asked for confirmation.

Note: Deleting a library does not delete the contents of the included folders. However, you may need to re-add or include your folders manually, if needed.

Then, in the navigation pane of Windows Explorer, right-click Libraries and click Restore default libraries.

This recreates the library that was deleted earlier. This option only restores the default libraries.

Please respond back and let us know the status of the issue.

    This actually worked! Just delete Pictures, Documents or what ever you're having a problem with and then right-click the library folder and put "restore default libraries".

    Hi, I am having the same problem with pictures and documents :( i tried the actions you suggested but i guess i am computer illiterate :(

    Is there any way of getting remote assistance for this problem?

    This solution did work for me.  However, the first time I tried it I just deleted the picture library and not the others and it did not work.  The second time, I deleted all of the libraries and restored to default settings and it worked.
