If it were just the taskbar I;'d have just shut auto hide off. It is everything about Microsoft' OS, programs and overall arrogance. Starting with their assumption it is ok to log on to my computer, install updates and restart BY DEFAULT. That pretty much
sets the tone.
I do have some large tables with various formulas but if I am working within the row/cell max framework they give me and using built in functions should it crash so much?
My recovery pane is literally filled with recovered files. Naturally there is no way (I can see) to sort by name/size/date.
Working with the OS is insane; I have developed Tourette's syndrome. I'd call the OS nearly criminally bad.
I just got my Mac this week which is why I bothered to reply to this forum/thread since it was a source (one of many) of much frustration and if I can help convince even one more person to stop using Microsoft it will make me quite happy. In a word I think
they suck on every level. And much like you whenever you point out flaws the explicit or implicit reply is it must be something I am doing wrong. Not. Arrogant lazy programmers who make it clear that the computer belongs to them and you are just visiting.
Not. Going from PC to Mac is like going from an abusive relationship to a loving one.
I'll take the extra $1k for the computer; if you add in the time I spend working around crashes and just plain bad software and multiple by even $20 an hour the Mac pays for itself in a month. At professional rates in a couple days. I just had to get myself
off of Excel and now it is clear sailing.
