I've had a mac for four years. I bought the mac because of irritating little problems like this. People kept telling me how windows had improved yada yada yada. So i bought a pc. Window has not improved. Why is it that
microsoft is so utterly incapable of coming up with a straightforward fix for something as simple as hiding the task bar. Why do they even bother to release software that suffers from such a problem in the first place? Laziness. In 4 years of owning a mac,
it didn't crash once. One month with my pc and it crashes about once a week. On paper the pc is more powerful, so i can only assume it's the buggy and poorly thought out operating system.
Can't wait to sell this thing and buy a mac.
And they are more expensive.
But if you deduct the resale value from the cost price, they're pretty much the same as a pc.
Just made the jump myself after the 'irritating little problems' and irritating middle problems and irritating big probles and crashes once a week once a day and once an hour. Often the problems compound as the little problem makes the medium problem harder
while trying tio solve the bigger problem. I liken using a pc to trying to drive a tractor trailer down an icey highway.
I have not had a single issue with my mac, every piece of software/interface makes you go 'well DUH!' That should be Macs commericials; one person talking about some simple thing macs do well and the spokeperson he is talking to in each commerical turns
around to some gatesy looking guy and says 'Well duh!'
So far I have managed to avoid needing W7; dropped Outlook for Apple Mail (AWESOME!), dropped word, converting all of my excel formulas (you know Excel? the one that crashes 100x a month?) to sql. Having my .net apps either recompiled for Mac or rewritten
entirely. Plan is to be Microsoft Free forever.
