The same happens for me too.  I have two external hard drives which I can save to.  I have turned on one and then the other hoping that I could at least save to one of them .. no luck.

Please can you throw some light on this error asap

    Thanks

The command prompt from "execute" don't work with Windows 7.

Create  a new user with right "Administrator".

Found in Windows the folder System32 -> Tasks -> Microsoft -> Windows -> WindowsBackup.

    There are 3 files :

    1  AutomaticBackup

    2  Windows Automatic Monitor

    3  WindowsBackup

In first : copy the files on your desktop and then deletethe 1 and 2.

Close all files and go to the control panel and press on "Configure Windows Backup".

Directly Windows "planifie" the section for your backup is started.

It's magic and I'm very happy.

    Hi,

I am getting this error message, when I open up TASK SCHEDULER

The Task Image is corrupted, or has been tampered with.

I have read this formula, in one of the forums and that is.

That I go into regedit, and follow this tree.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CURRENTVERSION\SCHEDULE\TASKS\SYSTEMRESTORE\SR

I SHOULD DELETE THAT TASK, AND THAT WILL RECTIFY THE ERROR.

Can someone tell me if that works, and if I do delete that task how do I re-create it again?

I am very afraid of messing about in REGEDIT.

What will happen to the restore points, that I have?

Do I delete them as well and start again, if so how do I delete them?

To be honest I don't know if the current restore points, work anyway.

If I do get problems in thge future, I would like them to fall back on.

    I do appreciate the. help

That worked perfectly. I "upgraded" to Windows 10, my scheduled backup failed while I was running 10, when I uninstalled back to 7 Backup wouldn't run, this fixed it. If my experience is common you might get a few people navigating to here!
