How do I add search filters?

When trying to search I click in the search field in my file explorer window. I see "Add a search filter" and a couple options below that "Date Modified" &  "Size" that I can select. How do I add more "clickable" search filters? I can only select those two filters. How do I add more to select?

Hello and thank you for your question.

In the explorer search window, you can click on those options you mentioned like “Date Modified” or “Size” to give you a list of even more refined options. For example, if you are in your music folder:

Without clearing the Search box, click Genre in the list of filters, and then click Jazz from the list of dynamic values. Windows Explorer adds Genre to the existing Length filter, allowing you to refine your search further.

    THIS was the first correct answer.  Thank-you, thank-you, Miriam Catira.  Hopefully, my vote will move this from page 4 of 6.  Warning: the page pointed to suggests that it is obsolete as of XP.  I just used its syntax on windows 7.

    Here is what I know.  

    On my company data base, there are 5436 excel spreadsheets in the "Projects" folder.

    Some of them are purchase orders.

    Some of those purchase orders are for Aluminum Checkerplate.

    I want to find historical pricing for Aluminum Checkerplate.

    If I type Checkerplate in the search box, by default it only shows me files with Checkerplate in the name.  (6 folders, and 13 files)  None of which are what I am looking for.

    If I change my search options to include Checkerplate in the file context the search takes an extremely long time.  Unacceptable.

    Currently, my computer is the only desktop in my company running Win7, all the rest still on XP.  I was the test case; guinea pig if you will.

    I have found enough flaws in the system that this is the final straw.  I will be reverting this unit back to XP, and the rest of the company will stay with XP until you people (MS) get your act together.

    Users are not programmers. They do not need to remember all the operators.

    XP's interface is definitely more suitable for standard users.

    There are better ways to create "Advanced Search" options.

    The bigger issue is that Microsoft does not care to upgrade the product and improve it, according to public complaints.
