About a while ago I ran chkdsk to check and recover bad sectors and fix system files and it then froze at 43% on stage 5 of 5. I left it on through out the night and I went to school and came back it was still at 43%. I then manually shut down the computer and ever since I have been trying to fix the problem. It was the second time I ran chkdsk on this pc while having windows 7 I usually run chkdsk every month or so to make sure everything is functioning right. After my problem occured I have tried so many things i have ran spinrite,I have reinstalled windows, I have tried to run chkdsk on safe mode, I have tried sfc/scannow, and chkdsk /p and all of these things did not fix the problem. Chkdsk /p was the only thing that didnt even try to fix anything because it said invalid parameter. Also when I reinstalled windows 7 on my pc then chkdksk froze at 49% on stage 5 of 5. I even ran diagnostics from the bios and I use Seagate Seatools and both diagnostics said my hard drive was perfectly fine. I also tried running chkdsk from the windows 7 cd and for some reason it completed in less than 2 hours. I then ran chkdsk from the pc and it then froze again this made me think that there had to be something wrong with my pc. So I was wondering how can I get chkdsk to complete perfectly from my pc again instead of using the windows 7 cd each time.

When I check each file and folder in the right pane local disk in the right then goes from a bluish square to checkmark. Is that ok? Also I have a question isn't the old MFT in the System Volume Information folder and overwriting that would overwrite the new System Volume Information?

Step #7 Change from: Click on the Windows 7 (Local Disk C:) Backup archive folder name. Place a check mark in the box
And verify that “All” the files and folders display in the right pane are also checked.
To: Do not place a check mark in the "Local Disk" box in the left pane. In the right hand pane place check marks for each Folder and file listed in the 'Name' column.
Note: Apparently Acronis is overwriting the new Master File Table with the one stored in your image backup, apparently there is no direct method to exclude this from happening so thats why I changed the instructions.

Check Disk completed but this is what it said at the end:

chkdsk should complete without errors, if it doesn't let me know.
