About a while ago I ran chkdsk to check and recover bad sectors and fix system files and it then froze at 43% on stage 5 of 5. I left it on through out the night and I went to school and came back it was still at 43%. I then manually shut down the computer and ever since I have been trying to fix the problem. It was the second time I ran chkdsk on this pc while having windows 7 I usually run chkdsk every month or so to make sure everything is functioning right. After my problem occured I have tried so many things i have ran spinrite,I have reinstalled windows, I have tried to run chkdsk on safe mode, I have tried sfc/scannow, and chkdsk /p and all of these things did not fix the problem. Chkdsk /p was the only thing that didnt even try to fix anything because it said invalid parameter. Also when I reinstalled windows 7 on my pc then chkdksk froze at 49% on stage 5 of 5. I even ran diagnostics from the bios and I use Seagate Seatools and both diagnostics said my hard drive was perfectly fine. I also tried running chkdsk from the windows 7 cd and for some reason it completed in less than 2 hours. I then ran chkdsk from the pc and it then froze again this made me think that there had to be something wrong with my pc. So I was wondering how can I get chkdsk to complete perfectly from my pc again instead of using the windows 7 cd each time.

I have 19 days left since I got Acronis True Image Home 2010 which has a 30 day trial.
Not a problem, I'll put the documentation on hold for the moment.
How many days do you have remaining on the Acronis Trial, it only a 15 day trial and you must be getting close to the experation date, please reply ASAP.
I ask because if your Backup partition is listed as a "Logical" drive the backup partition may need to be deleted before the free space can be made "Unallocated".
So what does Disk Management show for the Backup partition?
By the way the third test I mentioned in my previous post also worked with any problems.

By the ways no I haven't deleted the backup from the partition yet.
