Old title: Windows Media Player giving wrong info....
I try to rip my music CDs to Windows Media Player but my recent new albums it gives me the wrong album info why is this? any clues.

It's possible that WMP incorrectly identifies a CD as another album. To fix this, look up the album info manually: right-click one of the tracks, select Find album info , search for the correct album, and follow the remaining steps of the wizard.

If you go to the All Music Guide database (which is used by WMP), and the information there is incorrect as well, you should be able to correct it there.
Also, if you make corrections through Find Album Info, that information might be used to correct the database in the future.
Except when when i first put the CD in, The tracks were actually correct, just the album art was wrong. So when you do what you suggest, it replaced the tracks with the WRONG information and i cannot get it to change back, because WMP is a piece of garbage.
another thing that is not helpful is the artist tags being different. e.g junior walker and all start, jr walker & the all stars etc
a classic example is Martha and the vandellas which comes up as Martha reeves and the vandellas, marta reeves & the vandellas. Martha reeves & the vandellas. you get the idea
even I tunes often has the wrong information quite often
