Restore default display color

How do I restore the default color and settings on the display?  I've tried to find a "default" option within in the color calibration process, but don't see an option.

Hi LSSolomon,

  1. Have you recently done any changes to the computer?
  2. Have you done any changes to the theme settings on the desktop?

If you have calibration enabled for display then you may disable calibration loading by Windows. You must be logged on with a user account that has administrative privileges to make the below changes -

  1. Open Color Management by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type color management, and then click Color Management.
  2. Click the Advanced tab, and click Change system defaults.
  3. Click the Advanced tab in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box, and do one of the following:
  • To prevent Windows from loading display calibrations, clear the Use Windows display calibration check box.
  1. Click Close in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box.
  2. Click Close in the Color Management dialog box.

    I actually have been having alot of problems with the personalization settings. Every time I change the default to an Aero setting, within an hour it reverts back to the old "My Themes" settings... which is mainly a pure black background and the boring toolbar color. And I can't seem to find any way to keep this from happening. There's not "save changes" or "save as default" or anything like that.

    You can reset to default settings. Just type themes into the search panel, click change the theme and select a default. Windows worked best on my cheap Tosh but Windows 10 was fine also.
