Restore default display color

How do I restore the default color and settings on the display?  I've tried to find a "default" option within in the color calibration process, but don't see an option.

Hi LSSolomon,

  1. Have you recently done any changes to the computer?
  2. Have you done any changes to the theme settings on the desktop?

If you have calibration enabled for display then you may disable calibration loading by Windows. You must be logged on with a user account that has administrative privileges to make the below changes -

  1. Open Color Management by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type color management, and then click Color Management.
  2. Click the Advanced tab, and click Change system defaults.
  3. Click the Advanced tab in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box, and do one of the following:
  • To prevent Windows from loading display calibrations, clear the Use Windows display calibration check box.
  1. Click Close in the Color Management - System Defaults dialog box.
  2. Click Close in the Color Management dialog box.

    None of the suggestions here helped.  Please advise how I can get back to the color settings I had earlier today. Tried (1) System Restore (2) Swapping out monitors (3) Using Windows original theme (4) all variations of color management settings. 

    Still too green/blue!!! Not enough contrast/brightness. Help! Thanks,

    After playing about with the colors which for me didn't turn out well . I tapped "restore " and thankfully went back to the original format - Thankfully !

    I found going to control panel, personalisation, colour and appearance gives you access to change the colours of borders and taskbar. its just playing with the setting. its a shame there's no default setting that you can reset to.
