How do I disable the Windows 7 Magnifier?

How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Answers forum,

Give this a try:

Click on the Start button

All Programs

Accessories

Ease of Access Center

Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.

Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

    I am not even sure what activated the Magnifier, probably me a long time ago.

    could not remember and could not get rid of it.

    Yes, yours was the  magic solution / location I could not figure out and got rid of the Magnifier..

    I tried all the suggestions here and elsewhere, all to no avail.  I did a System Restore and that finally disabled the Windows 7 Magnifier.  Such a same to have to go to that extreme!

    While renin's post may not have began with the best greeting, His answer is correct. I had the problem of the magnifier popping up randomly, and the ease of access center settings would not stop it. I found one of the mouse button settings started the magnifier, so I disabled starting the magnifier with the mouse button, and that solved the problem. Please don't be so quick to condemn someone's post Ken. No one knows everything.
