Bless you, psnative. I would seriously give you a cake of your choice.
Dear World, DOH!! It's not Magnifier that is driving you insane. **It's "pinch zoom",**as psnative explained.
Here's how I got rid of it in Windows 7:
Control Panel
> Mouse
> Device Settings (has Red logo on tab)
> Scroll down and highlight Synaptics Luxpad V 1.3
> click on Settings button below the window
> New window "Properties for Synaptics Luxpad V 1.3 on SMB Port" appears;
the first box is "MultiFinger Gestures"
> uncheck "MultiFinger Gestures"
> or just uncheck "pinch zoom".
> Apply > OK > OK
Free again!!
Same problem but windows 8 and MS Intellimouse, despite all the "go to ease of access" responses (where it WAS NOT enabled), my problem was caused by microsoft mouse center settings. control panel, hardware,under devices and printers, mouse, mouse properties
will have Microsoft keyboard and mouse center, and a url to "Click here to change Microsoft mouse settings" click that, small thumb button (which is magnifier by default), and disable it Thanks for the hint re: mouse setup as opposed to all the other suggestions
about ease of access.
