How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Answers forum,
Give this a try:
Click on the Start button
All Programs
Accessories
Ease of Access Center
Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.
Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

you should've added HOW to get to - " Make My Computer Easier to See" and that is go to
Start/All Programs/Accessories/Ease of Access/and choose either the ease of access center or magnifier

In looking at this again, and going back, there may be too many ways of approaching this issue. When I went back to the Accessories approach as you suggested, clicked the right mouse button and accessed Properties on the drop-down menu, then was able to hide the folder and contents. Previously, I had accessed the Ease of Access Center via Control Panel without success and manged to mess up the filter keys assignment too. Somehow I had turned off the retain settings for boot-up and it kept reverting to a position that stopped me from accessing my keyboard until I manually turned it off. All fixed now,,,

Disable magnifier - Thanks Neil; this put me on track, on my machine I had to go into Accessories and then Ease of Access and then magnifier Properties where I clicked Hidden and at last! Got rid of the pesky thing.
