How do I get Classic Folder Icons Back?

YOU ARE SO ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!

How can Microsoft devellop such an inefficient and counterproductive way of presenting a file where the 2 yellow markers take up as much space as 2 small photographs that are difficult to see  - and you see only the right half of the photos.  I would like to either get the XP presentation back or an alternative where I see just one photograph in the yellow photo frame - box.

It is so unbelively unprofessionel.

Secondly: Why is it not possible to simply move a file - it can only copy.

I have external files for my photographs - I would like to be able to descide for myself wheter to copy of to MOVE my files.

Can someone in the US wake up bill Gates from his "computer sleep" and tell him this

 "devellopment" in the picture part of Windows 7 is very very irritating.

In the case of the E-Bay SALES Project ; the answer can be as SIMPLE  as COLOR !

When she is cataloging various BEADS , COLOR is an INSTANT -----  GRAPHICAL ---

USER  ----   INTERFACE  : Remember the CONCEPT of the GUI-Project , or was that before your "time" ???

AFTER  COLOR , comes GEOMETRY , or SIZE , or ATTACHMENT , or any number of OTHER

PRODUCT "descriptive" GRAPHICAL characteristics !  But , ....  , no matter what technique she WANTS  TO  USE, M$ has destroyed the ABILITY of the CUSTOMER using BASIC  GRAPHICAL  DESIGNATORS , ones that ARE  INSTANTLY obvious to the EYEBALL !

AGAIN - a picture is worth a THOUSAND  WORDS !  SIMPLE  &  STUPID !

Now, a person needs to invoke HEMINGWAY to decide HOW in the WORLD to find a UNIQUE

way to be PSEUDO-GRAPHICAL ,  and at the same time have the DIVERSITY of HUNDREDS , or even THOUSANDS of UNIQUE combinations , without filling the entire desktop with DESCRIPTORS , instead of GRAPHICS !

I'd be willing to BET that M% did this on purpose , so their LAWYERS would be able to PATENT GRAPHICAL SYMBOLS in their unending Quest to own EVERYTHING in  the world !  If the CUSTOMER has the ability to develop GRAPHICAL IMAGES ( ICONS ) then they LOOSE  ALL THE ROYALTY  MONEY from selling those next generation GRAPHICS to the unsuspecting PUBLIC !

Unlike a lot of every-day people's  OPINIONS , I KNOW THE DEPTH and BREADTH of Corporate LAWYERS, and their in-breed cousins ; MBA's !  If they give YOU an opportunity to be creative, then YOU  CAN  OWN  WHAT EVER   YOU  CREATE !  SO, ..... , they ( Corporations ) can take that OPPORTUNITY away from YOU  LOW-LIFE , every-day "persons" , so they can sieze ALL THE  CREATION  GOLD tat MIGHT come from their products !

Of course , that SAME prospect is NOT unloaded upon the ENTERPRISE CUSTOMER !

After all , THEY are CORPORATE relatives - NOT  FLESH &  BLOOD ( free ) "personages" ; all the "persons" within THEIR walls have signed away their RIGHTS to own anything as a part of their employment : one of those BIRDS-OF-A-FEATHER concepts ; plus , they ALL have LAWYERS sitting next to  the Corporate KING's Office ,  so , .... , they all HAVE to get along !

BUT those "mindless" surfs in PERSON-LAND , .....  , they will  go BROKE trying to protect THEIR INTELLECTUAL  PROPERTY !  It is NOT possible to sell enough "stuff" on E-Bay, as a SOLE-PROPIETER , to pay for having a Lawyer sitting next to the Dining Room Computer System !

CORPORATE  GREED !

  Enforced with LAWYERS !

ENJOY  LIVING IN WHAT LITTLE IS LEFT  OF AMERICA !

Fully agree - microsoft is playing to the masses of idiots who don't know better. Instead of giving them an intelligent software which would take them five minutes to understand and then have an easy life everafter they give them a stupid one that they believe they understand within one minute, only far later realizing that it made their life unnecessarily complicated.

Apple went that route but at least their strategy makes for a seamlessly integrated hardware.

Linux is excellent but too caught up in its "free" act to ever get somewhere professional as practically all of its free software lacks the final touches that make it a winner.

What I need is a new, professional OS that starts where the final XP stopped.

(What I definitely not need is an enlarged smartphone **** thingie.)
