"Play-to" network device keeps repeating same song

When I move a group of songs to the play area on the right-hand panel and select the "play-to" drop-down item, my DLNA compatible AV controller appears. When I select it, a new window opens, and the first song on the list begins playing on the AV device. Fine.

The problem is that song just keeps repeating. It doesn't matter whether the "repeat" control is turned on or off. I can click on any song in the list and it happily plays that song - over and over and over :-(

If I select a saved playlist from the DLNA client, it plays just fine and doesn't repeat. Unfortunately, I want to control the device from WMP, not from the panel of the DLNA client.

Help appreciated.

this is likely something that needs to be fixed by Denon. do they have a support

forum and are other users reporting the same issue?

    I've got a ton of mp3's that I ripped with various versions of Windows Media

    Player. I can create playlists or drag a group into the windows. They all play

    to my devices (Samsung TV, Sonos speakers) and other Windows 7 machines as

    expected. I'd like to know more about the individual song files (how they were

    ripped and what format) and how the playlist was created.

    I can confirm that using "Play to" to another windows 7 PC has the same behavior.  I have a playlist of 70 songs and after about 5 songs it will just keep playing the same one repeatedly.  You can manually move it to the next song, but then that song will loop as well.

    do you have another Windows 7 pc on the network? can you Play To that computer

    as expected?

    in any case, the issue has is odd. can you create a playlist in WMP and send the

    Playlist to the Denon from WMP? (as opposed to dropping songs into the window

    for an on the fly playlist?)

    I'm assuming you have the most recent firmware for the receiver and have done

    whatever "reset" is possible on the Denon itself.

    Note:There were some interesting posts on third party forums a while back about

    your receiver and some conflict with Rhapsody (Napster maybe)? where the first

    test was to unplug the router from the broadband modem and if that resolved the

    issue, folks were blocking some router ports I think. I've never seen this

    specific issue, though.
