Can you help trouble shoot Sharper Image Internet Weather Station EC-WS115?

I got this as a gift. It came without a software disk. After emailing customer support I got a link to the the following software:

http://www.box.net/shared/static/6o8ihesobp.exe

I downloaded this software.  It brings up the software images on my screen ... I can enter my home location in the software ... but the software never connects to the internet ... so I star all over again.  The installation and troubleshooting guide for this software can be found at:

This gadget is supposedly compatible with Windows 7.  I am running Windows 7 Pro on my HP Computer.

    Reason for all the problesm with date and time and updating weather data is they are currently moving the server...once its up and running again..everything will fix itself..

    I have original disk that came with mine....it works on All win formats..including WIN7 64 bit..

    Its a small file

    For me I was switching computers.  It always worked on my previous, which was Windows xp 32 bit.  My new cpu was same OS but for some reason, tried and tried to no avail.  However, reading your post, I decided to try and run the program based upon Windows 2000 compatibility.  Seems dumb, but worked.  I figured the software seems Windows 2000'ish. lol.  thanks for something try anwyay.

    I have the same weather station here...Model # EC-WS115.

    I also have the software disk that came with it and love the thing...works great and never had issues with it.

    I have a downloaded ver NIS01_NSTALL_2380  ver 1.0.0.0 or 1.01

    I would like to try yours if different or newer

    I am running w7 64

    How can I get a copy of yours.

    The new rar file from sharper image is v 1.02 and I now have it but I still have the problem every one else is having. my date is 11/4 with changing times (no temps)
