Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

Cheers.

I think it is completely outrageous that Microsoft believe they can treat their customers in such an ignorant fashion.

I also purchased this steering wheel thinking that it would work with Windows (due to the information provided on Microsoft websites!) and feel completly ripped of, now knowing that the force feedback does not work.

I will NEVER buy another Microsoft product! Well done guys you have lost another customer!

One quick addition to the other posts is that my wheel DOES VIBRATE when I am playing DIRT 2, I am guessing that this is related to Windows treating it as a control pad. It only vibrates when I go over jumps, but it definitely has some life in there somewhere. This is the only occasion I have managed to get any feedback from the wheel at all.

I really hope Microsoft resolves this issue, or at least provides some feedback on it, so that I can once again have a little faith in them.

    David

Can someone from MS, at least, answer us? We are coooostumeeeers..   . Hello? Is anyone there? HOOOOLAAAAAA? neh, i give up.

This is VERY disapointing, what? you want us to buy a fanatec Porsche 911 RS, that costs like 500 USD, just because you DONT WANT to give FF support under Windos Platform? Is this Fanatec's fault? do you have any cntractual limitations at this pont? uh? uh?

This is silly, such a good peripheral with lack of support, from one of the worlds largest enterprises. ¬¬

I feel the same way  O.o
