Is there anyway to purchase a replacement Microsoft 2.4 Ghz Transceiver V7.0 that works with a Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 AND a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 5000 ?
In my case, I got myself a Microsoft Wireless comfort 5000 combo, and I loved using it
Sadly, when moving out of my hometown, the mouse got lost. I did ended up with the keyboard and dongle. I got myself a wireless comfort 5000 mouse from someone who had its receiver chewed down by his dog. The mouse look on perfect condition, and its the same model my keyboard came with. Sadly, the receiver it's not recognizing the mouse. The mouse came with a v6.0 transceiver model 1364, while the combo came with a v7.0 model 1423.
Well, i'll try to reverse engineer the mouse and see if I can pair it with my receiver. I'm also looking into reprogramming the receiver and decode the key. It should be hard, but I don't have that much knowledge on electronics, only on the coding side of things
