If you are seeing that error it's very likely the disk is failing even though it appears to be working OK. The disk itself and Windows both try to detect and automatically repair errors. If Windows is seeing errors it means the disk can no longer repair them. There are other reasons why this error may show up but you should test the disk ASAP. You should also make sure that any important data on the disk is backed up.  The laptop may have come with a program to test the hardware. If not try this program.

    Ok, here is the solution..

    1. Go to your accessories folder in the Start menu.
    2. Look for "Run", or "Command Prompt".
    3. Open any of them and type "gpedit.msc"  that will open the Local group policy editor.
    4. Once there, navigate to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Troubleshooting and Diagnostics\Disk Diagnostic\
    5. Double Click on “Disk diagnostic: configure execution level”
    6. Set it to “disabled”. Because “Not configured” is enabled by default.

    Enjoy,

    V.
