Error: The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration is incorrect please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail

i do have same problem of "Side-by-side configuration error". this error occur on Windows 7 Profession version.

system details are:

OS: Windows 7 Professional.

software : Bryce 7.1

Issue:  side by side.

try to solve by installing C++ as you said but couldn't get the resolution.

Thanks man, this really helped me on easy php startup error.

I Downloaded "msert.exe" to check virus in my software, After downloading when I executed this file I got the message " The application has failed to start because the side by side configuration...... use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for mote detail 

When I entered "sxstrace.exe" in command line - a box with some message  has appeared and immideately disappered 

I tried windows essential but it is unable to notice any virus

Now the problem is how to execute "msert.exe" to check virus
