click start button and type "msconfig" and hit enter. When open goto startup tab and un-tick the program with name of "windows live" or "iexplore.exe" and hit apply and close. Hope it will help!

    I followed as suggested but it did not help because I did not find "Window Live" nor "iexplore.exe" listed.  What I did find was about five or six listed unchecked how to restore programs that are associated with the ransom virus which is complicating my use of Excel and word.  I have tried to reinstall my Windows 7 professional to no avail.  I have bought a program my turbo pc and scanned my computer and still have not been able to offset this virus.  I was fortunate to have most of my serious files backed up on exterior hard drives.  Are you able to help me.  I am a professional tax preparer and this is not helping the situation at this time.

    I tried Vanshaj Daga's solution only instead of "startup" I clicked on "Services" and unclicked Windows Live ID and have solved the problem. Thank you!
