Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W compatibilty with Windows 7, comes up as "Unspecified" device

I have a Konica Minolta PagePro 1350W laser printer that works quite well, I just updgraded to Windows7 from XP but my printer doesn't work anymore. It appears as PP1350W in the "Devices and Printers" window as an unspecified device. I tried installing the Vista Drivers for the Page Pro 1400W and now that printer appears in under "printers and Faxes", however the PP1350W is still listed as an unspecified device and printing to the 1400W does nothing. What's worse is not I can't even remove the 1400W no matter how many times I tell it to remove, it just automatically pops up again. Is there a generic driver out there for the PagePro 1350W that will work in Windows7 so I can at least have basic printing functionality?

Hello gUnit101,

From what i see in the Compatibility Center there are several versions of the PagePro printer that are compatible but the 1350 is not listed.  The 1100 and 1400 are listed but not the 1350.  I would check with Konica to see if they have updated drivers for your specific model or see if the drivers for one of the other models can work with your printer.

    I wasn't speaking of 64-bit drivers, but about the fact that the us site of KonicaMinolta doesn't contain up to date drivers for all models compared to the EU one. I don't see them planning to provide 64-bit drivers, so you'll have to use software like VirtualBox (I'd expect latest VirtualPC [WindowsXP mode] to also work, but not sure) since it can see USB ports. So you can install printer drivers in VirtualBox at a 32-bit OS (and not share the x64 OS printers with the simulator since you'd need 64-bit drivers to do install the printer at the host OS)

    H, Jerry is correct.  None of the drivers listed above work.  1350W Drivers are not working under an Windows 7 64 Bit...P E R I O D.

    I too will never buy from Minolta again. This lack of support for their equipment is inexcusable.

    Any way, running in XP emulation mode WORKS provided you download and install the 64 Bit drivers NOT Windows XP Drivers.

    Trying to sell you 1400W is ____. These guys at US KonicaMinolta should be put to their place. Please call them and complain about this. Microsoft Answers is full of people searching for KonicaMinolta drivers for Vista and Windows7 and the US site misleads them for a long time now claiming there are only XP drivers, whereas the drivers have been existing at the EU site of theirs for a long time now

    Hi, you statement is not accurate.

    I have 2 notebooks. One is running Windows 7 32bit (using 1400W vista driver will work), another one is running Windows 7 64 bit. The driver you listed from Europe website is v.1611120 which isIDENTICALto U.S. Konita Minolta site, it will NOT work on Windows 7 64 bit OS.

    Also, I have tried everything mentioned above in this article, and nothing works on Windows 7 64 bit OS.

    Konica Minolta sucks, period. They want you to spend money on new printer. I'll never purchase from them again.
