Planning on updating office computer. Our Tech doesn't think our lotus will run on the new Windows 7 64 bit. Need to confirm.

to ALL the people who say it does not work, you are WRONG.
It does work on Win 7 64 bit and works well.
The whole product will not load, but separate products like Lotus 123 or WordPro work fine.
A client of mine wanted Lotus 123 running as he had some legacy software that used macros. I tested it on a Win 64 system on a laptop that had a small disk drive - 60GB - purely as a test area. It worked fine. He then bought a new system - core i5, 8GB memory and significantly, a large hard disk - 2TB. The disk was the problem. I built it all (initially) as one drive and Lotus would not install. The Lotus install said the hard disk was -2TB (minus) in size. Weird....... Solution was to make an initial partition of 500GB as drive C and the rest as drive D. Lotus then installed as it should and worked fine.
Couldn't be bothered to find out what the actual disk drive limit was, perhaps some hardware engineer could provide a potential answer.
In the end it was nothing to do with the OS, but some hardware limitation. It doesn't even need to be run as XP compatible - it just works!
No doubt people saying it won't run have vested interests in "other" products.

I've tried to install from the hard drive with setup.exe, but Lotus says my "c" drive has negative space. (not enough room on the windows drive).
I disconnected my external drive and that didn't help either (still negative space). Could it be problem with the size of the hard drive (2TB) as suggested above?

2013-09-29T05:23:23+00:00 I have smartsuite installed on 3 computers running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 all 64 bit. I am setting up a new machine to replace the Vista machine and the problem I am having is the new one is running Windows 7 64 bit with a 1.5 TB drive in it. Lotus reports the available HD free space as a negative number. I have always used explorer and gone to the cd drive and double clicked on setup with no problems, but for this machine I am guessing Lotus does not know how to handle a large hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
