will Lotus SmartSuite run on Windows 7?

Even installing through setup.exe I observed that this app saves part of its files in a different partition. So, if you leave attached a removable flash drive ou external HD for instance, this unit will store part of Lotus files.

• Problem nr. 1: You cannot eject this drive;

You may shut-down the computer... but

• Problem 2 : You mey see a "1327 Error Message" for a missing drive (drive letter may vary...)

My sollution:

1. Copied entire CD files to C: .....\ downloads
2. No removable drive attached when installing
3. Installed double-clicking Setup.exe

The software installed successfuly. I could check afterwards that the program created a lotus directory in D: (an existing partition in the PC hard drive).

I have smartsuite  installed on 3 computers running Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 all 64 bit. I am setting up a new machine to replace the Vista machine and the problem I am having is the new one is running Windows 7 64 bit with a 1.5 TB drive in it. Lotus reports the available HD free space as a negative number. I have always used explorer and gone to the cd drive and double clicked on setup with no problems, but for this machine I am guessing Lotus does not know how to handle a large hard drive. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I had a user that was not able to install the program and was really breathing down my neck about this.  I know you posted this answer a while ago but you really helped me out!  Thanks a ton.

Copy the setup files to your hard drive and run them from there not from the CD.
