Managing tabs, address bar, and search settings in Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I've already disabled Copilot in the sidebar. I've toggled off "Chat response on result page" in the search settings. I want the Copilot AI disabled from the search result page, preventing automatic chatboxes on searches, and not activating when scrolling to the top of the results page.

Hi! Thanks for your responses but the Copilot is already disabled in the SIDEBAR. I need it removed from the SEARCH BAR. Not yelling at you, just trying to clarify. Everyone sends the same information about removing it from the sidebar. We need to know how to get rid of the copilot (the rainbow colored one) in the search bar. See attached for clarity.
Thanks a million!!! :)
You may remove it from Edge sidebar but it can still show up everywhere else throughout the system. You can never actually get rid of it unless you get rid of ALL THE FRIGGIN' MlCRO$OFT PRODUCTS and embrace Linux etc.
I've tried everything.
The dam thing is off yet still it shows up results on the dam page - pissed off with Edge - time to delete and find a new browser.🤬
There is no way to turn it off completely. You can try the in-depth access to Group Policy but if you are unfamiliar with that process you can get into a mess. Back up ypur machine before trying. Microsoft is hell bent on forcing their customers to adopt CoPilot and there is no way other than staying back on Microsoft 10 - which has its own serious issues. Apple is headed in the same direction although they “promise” they won’t use the data their process collects other than making your “experience better”. Microsoft doesn't make any such promises with their data capture. It is going to take some serious legislation to stop this and that doesnt seem likely until something egregious happens to an important person or business.
This Solution worked like a Dream for me, at second attempt, when I managed to choose the correct Options as Robinson stated
No problems, and it's GONE !!
