How to completely remove Copilot from Edge?

I've already disabled Copilot in the sidebar. I've toggled off "Chat response on result page" in the search settings. I want the Copilot AI disabled from the search result page, preventing automatic chatboxes on searches, and not activating when scrolling to the top of the results page.

I'm sorry, I'm running out of possible fixes and solutions. Since this is an open forum, let's see if another member of the community has an alternative solution to the issue.

Backup your data, wipe the disk, install some variant of Linux (Ubuntu is my preference) and install Chrome. And NEVER use anything Microsoft again.

If only there was a decent replacement for Office...

Copilot cannot be turned off. Shows circle with red line in it when trying to turn off. I am switching to Chrome until this problem is fixed

I followed the above instructions through Bing but CoPilot is still active, I see the icon. I also tried using CoPilot to remove CoPilot but by continuing interaction I automatically agree to MS's terms. In order to chat here I had to sign onto my MS account.

I also do not find the program in my installed features or apps lists. It's insidious and I want it gone.

copilot is a classical example how MS uses customers for QA , they launch a product in alpha stage annoying millions because they just can. Its like Boeing, company looks financially great from the outside, but delivers buggy stuff at the inside.

The worst 2 experiences with copilot today:

    1. it keeps on moving the cursor left and right while I am typing this in Edge (is this an evil AI already at work)
    2. when I ask copilot directly how to turn if off, it apologizes for the inconvenience, but doesnt answer my question and tells me the topic is closed
