Same experience with my folders following today's Windows 11 update (4-9-25), though security settings appear to remain the same. I'll try the previous solution again, and see if it helps. Microsoft engineers lead a bland, black and white existence!

Regarding the proper placement of the new command, I added a caveat to step 2 of my summary:
2). Go to your Edge shortcut and insert the "--disable-features=msFavoritesMonolineFolder" command in the target line, being sure to leave a space between the added command and the preceding "exe."
