notification bell and rewards icons missing in microsoft start default page on edge

since few days, the notification bell icon (rated/answered comments from media articles, new followers, etc ), smartphone icon and microsoft reward icon in the top-right corner of edge default home page (the one with daily news, weather, etc) all vanished, i have only the parameters icon available.

all notification are checked "on" in microsoft start config page.

and the icons appear without problems in the differents press articles pages, the missing icons problem seems to occur only in the edge new tab default page.

how to get the icons back???

    I've given up on receiving notifications for any comments I've made to any articles. I haven't received a notification in

    months.

    To see if I do have any notifications I will click on any article that allows comments. When the comment section appears

    then I will click on my profile picture within that dialog box and that will take me to any comments I've made and any replies.

    That's the only way I've discovered to see if anyone has replied to me or any other comments by other posters on the

    subject.

    Still not there, bell doesn't show no matter what I do.

    Mine recently disappeared after a system update. I had to go to System > Notifications, click on the dropdown arrow on Notifications, and the Show notification bell icon checkbox was turned off there. Turning it back on brought it back for me

    I've done that time and again, nothing, absolutely nothing I do will enable that notification bell. Zip, zilch, nada, zero.

    If I want to see any replies to comments I've made I will click on an article that has the ability to post comments. Once that article opens with the comments in the right side of the screen I will then click on my picture and comments directed to me appear there. But receiving notifications is as likely as me winning the mega bucks lottery. It's a problem that Microsoft is not interested in repairing.

    Edge eliminated 'clutter' (<-- subjective, it seems) that google chrome hasn't.
