Web Select Option Gone After Recent Edge Update

MS Edge Version: 114.0.1823.37

For some reason, I no longer have the Web Select option in the right-click context menu. I still have Web Capture, but Web Select is no longer there. Did MS remove this feature, or is it a bug?

    Microsoft made it official in September.

    • Deprecation of Web Select. To improve end user experience, this feature is being deprecated and will no longer be an option under Web Capture or via keyboard shortcut.

    How this improves end user experience? Maybe "To make companies stop yelling at us for a feature they want to block"..

    Rest in peace Web Select, goodbye Edge. I'm using alternative browsers now because Edge has no "edge" over the competition with this feature gone.

    Now it's gone from web capture as well. Microsoft taking away the only feature Edge was good for. Keep up the good work Microsoft, you obviously know exactly what we want.

    OK everyone on this thread. There is a small window for change here. The only way to get this feature back before it is gone for good is for everyone to submit feedback. Put simply:

    And just type "Bring Web Select Back, this is the reason I use Edge".

    Once you have done this come back here and reply, feedback submitted.

    😃 With the most recent update overnight, "Web Select" is back... yay!! (Win11 22H2 Build 22621.2283, Edge Version 117.0.2045.31 (Official build) (64-bit) ) I have sent positive feedback to the Edge team, I encourage you to do the same if the most recent version restores it for you.
