I have Windows 10 Pro running my computer and would like to completely get rid of Edge. I don't use it and don't plan on ever using it so it's basically just a nuisance to me. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, it isn't possible to get rid of Edge completely. However, you can install some other web browser and set it as the system default.

Microsoft Edge is the web browser recommended by Microsoft and is the default web browser for Windows. Because Windows supports applications that rely on the web platform, our default web browser is an essential component of our operating system and can’t be uninstalled. To provide our users with compatibility, compliance, accessibility, and performance, we'll continue updating Microsoft Edge through the browser installer or Windows updates.

I hope this is helpful! Best Regards, Utkarsh
Microsoft has actually started changing the default browser back to Edge without users' permission every time they install an update. Not only do you have to change the default web browser, you have to tell it which files you don't want Edge to open... PDFs are particularly irritating, because Edge can't handle even slightly complicated PDF forms. Then you have to tell it not to open links from Outlook with Edge. It has its filthy, incompetent little tentacles everywhere.
You used to be able to uninstall it by running a command in Power Shell. I was able to do this with Windows 10 Pro a while back, but now that I have Windows 11 Pro, apparently Microsoft has figured out that millions of people were uninstalling Edge and made it impossible.
Edge is the worst browser I've ever used. If I had to choose right now between the newest version of Edge, and the oldest version of Internet Explorer, I'd choose the latter.
Your search engine is ****, but thanks for telling me I have no choice but to use it.
That’s making it perfectly clear!
