I have Windows 10 Pro running my computer and would like to completely get rid of Edge. I don't use it and don't plan on ever using it so it's basically just a nuisance to me. Any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, it isn't possible to get rid of Edge completely. However, you can install some other web browser and set it as the system default.
Hi Wild, Welcome to the Microsoft Community. I am a Microsoft user just like you, and I hope you are well.

Microsoft Edge is the web browser recommended by Microsoft and is the default web browser for Windows. Because Windows supports applications that rely on the web platform, our default web browser is an essential component of our operating system and can’t be uninstalled. To provide our users with compatibility, compliance, accessibility, and performance, we'll continue updating Microsoft Edge through the browser installer or Windows updates.

I hope this is helpful! Best Regards, Utkarsh
I agree with you, however, when a person selects a default browser, that is the browser that should be opened for all applications. If someone wants to use a different browser, most likely they will know how to select it.
OK
Microsoft seem to be losing the plot - hinting that one of my favourite productivity keys, "Print Screen", is to go.
Win10 has turned my PC screens in cell-phone screens.
I have two PC's for work use and am fed up with Win10 auto features.
They interfere with work and I waste time returning to a screen that vanishes.
There seems to be a catalogue of instructions on the web showing how to immobilise Win10 features.
And I find Win Edge annoying - It assumes people are idiots.
To get back to 'normal' productivity I'm re-installing XP.
I guess you have not experienced Windows 11. I tried it, really tried. Could not do it. Returned my brand new computer which had Windows 11 installed. Microsoft and I have become completely out of sync. Windows is now entirely DO IT THEIR WAY. Their apps, their browser (Edge), their cloud storage. I went back to Win 10, but still favor Win 7.
