Opening and reading PDF files in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I have a problem with printing from the latest version of Microsoft Edge. When I select some text on the browser and choose Print → 'Save As Pdf', the download starts but never finishes. How can I fix this? Is this a common issue for all the users of the latest version of Edge?
I have tried restating the PC, Resetting the browser, stopping all the extension etc. to fix it. but it doesn't work? Should I switch to Chrome?

....Is there some kind of "masochism"???...
THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED WITH THE LATEST EDGE UPDATE, v. 120.0.2210.77 (Official Build) (64 bits),
as already repeated several times, in several posts, by several contributors!
Yes, update Edge to the latest release.
Same here,
Versie 120.0.2210.61 (Officiële build) (64-bits)
Hello,
I am having this exact issue with a PC. I have tried all of Mitchell's suggestions. I even upgraded the PC from Windows 10 to Windows 11, the issue remains. Doing the same action in Chrome works, but the user does not want to switch to Chrome.
Thank you.
Hello Shaon Singha,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
After seeing everything you posted here, I immediately tested the Microsoft Edge browser on multiple devices, both with Windows 10 and Windows 11.
However, I can normally "save as PDF" the contents of the web page, sorry that we did not repeat your question.
Therefore, this should not be a Bug in the latest version of Edge browser, it may be specific to your device.
I noticed that you tried to reboot your PC and reset your browser (I think you reset the Settings in Settings?). And disabled all extensions. So I'll give you a few things here that you haven't tried:
1. Try to repair the Edge browser.
Right click on the Start menu on the taskbar - installed applications, locate Microsoft Edge browser, and then click Modify under Advanced options. After the auto-fix completes, open Edge browser to test whether the problem still exists.
2. Reinstall the Edge browser.
Direct access to the following links:
After clicking Download, you will download the installer for the Edge browser. Once the download is complete, run the installer to reinstall the Edge browser.
3. Test whether the problem appears in the insider version of the Edge browser.
You can download either version of the Insider Edge browser separately by visiting the following links:
Become a Microsoft Edge Insider | Microsoft Edge
The Insider Edge browser is independent of the built-in Edge browser, and you can install or uninstall them at will.
You can log in to your Microsoft account in the Insider Edge browser, and all the associated favorites, history, and other information will be synchronized to the Insider Edge browser, please test whether the same problem will be repeated.
If you find that you don't encounter any anomalies in the Insider Edge browser, perhaps I can recommend that you use the Insider Edge browser for a while, as there is no difference in the experience from the built-in Edge browser.
In the meantime, I recommend you use the Edge browser's feedback feature to give developers feedback about your problems.
Best regards,
