How can I get Edge to restore all the tabs I had open last session?

I've found a way to restore all my Edge for Android tabs in one shot, but ONLY because I sync Edge across my devices. I went to my Edge desktop browser and into History, recently closed tab list and found the following, all in a group conveniently, and restored them to a fresh browser window. Not ideal as this extensive set of tabs is no longer on my phone Edge browser but at least they're not completely lost. I'm sure with some work I'm not really willing to set time aside for, I could import them back onto my phone. Here's the quick screenshot. Hope it helps...

edge://quit and Close Microsoft Edge both result in only one window worth of tabs re-opening. I guess I should feel lucky that it looks like the previous state of the un-restored windows are even recorded. This is a pain because of how simple it should be, reboot computer or have an edge update... and then when you open edge everything should comes back, all tabs in all of their windows. Why is this so hard? The "shiny metal" browser can do this, I just tried.

Based on the whole each window is a session thing, they could have a more descriptive popup when you try to close one of the windows, close window, close all edge windows (this is the one to use when we want them all restored), cancel, and an option to always do whatever non-cancel option the user chooses. And then make sure that when the close all windows option is used, it restores them all instead of the current behaviour.

This is terrible, just create a Restore Previous Session button!

It's happened again ! This morning after some W11 updates and restarting, selecting a link in an email should have restored all previous Edge session and tabs - It Did Not !

Settings (Open Tabes from the previous session) are correctly set.. It has worked flawlessly for months with restarts.

Now, multiple windows and tabs are lost.

Is it nearly impossible to go through history and pell back each page. Also, the "Recently Closed" tab in History is empty .

Is there any way to get lost sessions back en masse ?

The "Open tabs from the previous session" option seems to be having no effect for me. With three tabs open, I close Edge with the X. When I reopen Edge, I'm back to just one homepage tab.
