How to make links open in a new tab in Edge Chromium

Hi, does anyone know how to make links clicked open in a new tab, rather than in the existing tab, in the new Microsoft Edge Chromium, please?

    I haven't seen anyone mention this, so I'll throw it out there. Has anyone tried clicking on the link using the middle button on their mouse? This is what I do using the Chrome browser but no harm in trying to see if it may work in Edge!

    Hold the Ctrl key when you click a link.

    All other browsers have that feature.

    The unfortunate truth is that all too often these days, we are forced to use Edge by our overlords on corporate-controlled company computers. Otherwise we would probably ALL be using only Firefox or Chrome.
