How to prevent Microsoft Start page from coming up when I click on a news article in the New Tab page?

Starting today (1/4/2022), whenever I click on a news article in the New Tab page, the Microsoft Start page is displayed instead. How do I stop that from happening?

    Thank You! I following your first set of instructions - The reset stopped the Microsoft Start from showing up the next time I clicked an article of interest.

    The issue is also in IOS Safari. Definitely a microsoft Issue. I wish we would stop hearing "crickets" on this issue. Microsoft neds to step up and FIX it!

    I am not computer savvy. So this is a microsoft problem? I thought it was my problem. Tried all kinds of clicking on different buttons and selections and nothing changes. Still get into a loop of news/sports/entertainment etc that i am not interested in. Just give me the story I want and not have to search for it in some other tab. How do i get to another browser other than edge?

    This does NOT work! This appears to be an MSN.COM URL problem. Any URL that is clicked on in MSN.COM will return you to the MSN.COM page and not the link. I have tried reinstalling OPERA, CHROME & EDGE and it still does not work. When I copy any link on MSN.COM page I can enter that link into any browser and it works. However, when trying to click on an event on the MSN.COM page the link only returns you to the MSN.COM page.

    This is not a browser problem, it is an MSN.COM website or server problem as the links associated with the MSN.COM page do not work.

    Me also. Wasted too much time trying to correct it and then came to the conclusion it wasn't my computer
