Hi fg,
I do not use File Explorer (too basic). This is a snip from my File Manager, uses dual pane. Never liked working with the tree structure, especially dealing with large number of files. Program is Total Commander. Kind of a kick back to my Dos days of using Norton Commander.
Countless settings and configurations possible. Might appear overwhelming at first. It is shareware, been using now according to the key (dated 1996) for long time. Installed on my daughters computer, she was like, what is this, totally lost. You can keep it simple, or as complex as per requirements. Fully customizable, not at all like the in your face Explorer, you get what MS decides (not much).
Whatever your style, menu items you require, shortcuts, make several toolbars and add as much as you want. Endless possibilities. It used to be called Windows Commander until some corporation had a issue with the name. Give it a try, if it works for you, buy the key to get rid of the few seconds nag at startup. Have never had to get a new key file after all these years.
Regards,
Hi Johnny,
I thought it looked familiar, I may try it on one of my machines with Public build.
Since we are trying to find MS bugs I'll use what comes with windows for testing.
Thanks for the info.
