After updating several machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11 users have noticed a significant degradation on Disk Random Write speed. This is quite noticeable with NVMe SSDs benchmarks, it also seems to affect SATA SSDs even if it is not as significant. See 3 samples below with 3 different devices on Windows 10 and Windows 11:

Here are the different results on Dell XPS 8930
VBS Disabled versus VBS Enabled, looks like it sure makes a difference, still slower than it was with Windows 10 which had VBS Enabled anyway.
I'll restore windows 10 and give it another try on the same box with VBS Enabled as it was on the test done back on Aug 22, 2021. 😉
Okay, so further investigation and I think the issue is, at least partially, VBS in Win 11. I turned off VBS and my random write went from 733 to over 1200 (it was never anywhere close to 1200 before). Turned VBS back on -- down to 700. My IOPs also improved in Samsung Magician (the configuration software for my SSD) -- both random read and write. From 300k to almost 400k random read and from 150k to 235k in ransom write.
So I think, at least partially, if not significantly, the issue is when VBS is running under Win 11. So try it -- turn off VBS by going to settings/core isolation Then turn off "memory integrity" there. You'll have to reboot. Then run crystaldiskmark.
You can type in: msinfo32 to see if VBS (Virtualization-based Security) is running now on your system.
Then turn back memory integrity back on and reboot, if you want to go back to VBS running.

I checked msinfo32 on one machine running Build 22000.318 and VBS shows not enabled.
Same thing on another desktop.

What/where is Feed Back Hub. Is there a link? I'm not familiar with it.
It is an Application on your windows system, just click on all apps in the upper corner of the start menu and you can find it in alphabetical order, you can pin it to your taskbar and it will be easier to find next time you need it. 😉
